Jiang Guo (郭 江)

I am currently a Senior Applied Scientist at AWS Agentic AI. Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at MIT CSAIL, where I had the privilege of working with Prof. Regina Barzilay. I earned my Ph.D. from the SCIR lab at Harbin Institute of Technology, under the supervision of Dr. Haifeng Wang and Prof. Wanxiang Che. From 2014 to 2015, I was a visiting student at Johns Hopkins University's CLSP, collaborating with Prof. David Yarowsky.

My research interests encompass a broad spectrum of topics in natural language processing and machine learning. My earlier work focused on low-resource learning, with applications in cross-lingual, task, and domain transfer (ACL15, JAIR16, EMNLP18, EMNLP19a, EMNLP19b), as well as AI for chemical sciences (ChemBERT @JCIM21, MolScribe @JCIM23a, RxnScribe @JCIM23b). More recently, my work has centered on large language models (LLMs) and their industrial applications, including Post-Training (Amazon Titan LLMs), Text2SQL (Amazon Q in QuickSight), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) (Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Base), and Agent Primitives (Amazon Bedrock AgentCore).
